HS2 Drop-in Event – Highway and Haul Road Design

Wednesday 28 February 2018 between 2 and 6 pm in Great Missenden Memorial Centre

A Drop-in Event being run by Fusion JV, the HS2 Enabling Works Contractors – plans for the construction of the HS2 Haul Road to run from the A413 up to the Chiltern Tunnel portal will be on display.

Designs will be shared with the community on proposed scheme of alterations to Link Road and the A413 roundabout as well as the A413 Frith Hill roundabout.  Staff will be on hand to talk to.

  1. Does anyone know when this stage of the work is actually due to start & how long it will take? And how many vehicle movements on the A413 it will take to build? The A413 is already full during rush hours and a few hundred extra slow moving HGVs will not improve it (or improve the road surface quality). Widening the A413 between the end of the dual carriageway and Great Missenden first seems a better idea.

  2. Went to a meeting in Holtspur last week arranged by BBOAT. The Chiltern Society had a very good speaker there who presented a concise plan of what was happening and when. The PVA should contact the Chltern Soc. and ask if he could come and enlighten us as to what is happening, when it’s happening and when too.
