The constitution of Prestwood Village Association states that we should have an Annual General Meeting every April. Traditionally they have been at the end of April or early May.

This year that meeting will be delayed to Monday July 6th 2026. A meeting will be held at Prestwood Village Hall. More details will follow.

This year we have decided to dissolve Prestwood Village Association and close the website in July 2026.

Why?

Organisations such as PVA operate through the good will of a handful of local people getting together regularly and a network of news hounds looking out for noteworthy local information. There is also the task of editing the website, which used to be handled by three people. The team is now down to five, only one of the current team is regularly editing the website.

We have attempted to recruit new people into PVA to rejuvenate it following a questionnaire in October of last year. Twenty seven people indicated their willingness to help, but unfortunately we have not been able to engage sufficient numbers to share the editing tasks and collation of content for the website. It is now time to close.

The website is still visited regularly, but there is little new content going on to it. We will continue to post content up to July 2026.

We would like to thank the 800+ subscribers who still visit the website each month and respond to the newsletters we send out. We hope that we have kept you informed of local issues over the past 13 years.
