People are becoming increasingly aware that our throw-away society is not good for our pockets, not good for the planet. To address this, Repair Cafes are popping up everywhere, in Buckinghamshire and elsewhere. At these, volunteers attempt to repair broken things of all sorts, with neither guarantee nor charge. Your parish council is exploring the possibility of triggering the creation of one here. For this to happen, two things are needed. Firstly it must be certain that one will be wanted and used. Secondly volunteers are needed, both people with DIY skills as repairers but also others to organise and run it.
