We have received the following message in our inbox from Gail Hudson (local Partnerships Manager) of Bucks Council.
Proposals for on-street and off-street parking
The Council recently ran a consultation in relation to on/off street parking for 2024. We are aware that we haven’t received a response from your council, and we are still keen to hear your views. If you would like to provide any feedback on the proposals, we are offering a further opportunity to do so.
The details of the consultation are here: Proposals for on-street and off-street parking in Buckinghamshire January to February 2024 – Statutory consultation – Your Voice Bucks – Citizen Space
Please note this consultation closed on 18th February, so the online comment form will no longer be available.
If you would like to offer a view, please could you email me back and I will pass these to the Parking Team to consider for the final report. I would be grateful to receive your response by close of the day on Wednesday, 15 May.
Many Thanks
Gail

Gail refers us to a website which contains information about new parking charges. You can visit it by going to here: Proposals for on-street and off-street parking in Buckinghamshire (link opens in a new window, close it to return to here.)
The page lists a lot of car parks and it is not that easy to assimilate. I have copied the most relevant local ones below.
| Buryfield, Great Missenden (Site 78) |
|
|
No |
| Link Road, Great Missenden (Site 79) |
|
|
No |
| High Street, Prestwood (Site 80) |
|
|
No |
Note that if you wish to park even for 10 minutes on a Sunday, it will cost £1.20. Currently it is free.
Also extracted from the website is the following at the bottom of the list of council controlled car parks.
We invite you to let us have your views on the proposed parking restrictions.

What happens next
We will consider all responses and prepare a recommendation report based on the feedback to the decision makers.
If you provide your email address or other contact details with your comments, we will contact you about the decision once it has been made. The results of the consultation and decision will also be published on this website.
Privacy
We will use the information you provide only for the purpose of this consultation. We will store the information securely, in line with data protection laws. The law states that we must make responses available for public inspection, but we will not share or publish any personal details. Please visit the Privacy page to read our full privacy notice.
What you need to do
Gail is inviting responses to the proposals directly to her email address which is: gail.hudson@buckinghamshire.gov.uk
You may also comment below, and we can direct Gail to this page. I suspect that written emails directly to Gail will stand a better chance of influencing the outcome.
