Please read this in conjunction with our recent post on the Local Plan – Buckinghamshire Council

Earlier this year Buckinghamshire Council held our first call for brownfield sites as we started work on the Local Plan for Buckinghamshire. This plan will allocate sites for development in the period up to 2040.

Our ‘Brown before Green’ pledge means that we are committed to prioritise using previously developed land (brownfield sites) wherever we can to help reduce the need to build on greenfield sites. To make sure we consider all potential opportunities, we are inviting people to help us identify any potentially suitable sites for future development on brownfield land within Buckinghamshire.

To help us do this, we are carrying out a further call for brownfield sites from today, 6 December 2021. This will help to identify sites that may have the potential for development and that might ultimately be allocated for development in the Local Plan.  Later this year we will be making a call for Greenfield sites.

Thank you for taking part in this important work for the new Local Plan for Buckinghamshire.
