The developers have now submitted an amended set of documents (all dated 26 November). In summary, the main changes are:-
- 33 units in lieu of 37
- Top floor reduced in size, enabling lower eaves levels and less dominant roof shape
- Clay tiles in lieu of zinc on the roof and some changes to the brickwork to better reflect the location
- An additional small pedestrian crossing
The proposed development is a great improvement to the Car Sales business currently in operation.
The Train Station, however needs a complete refurbishment, perhaps a rebuild to suit the modern building architecture it will be surrounded by.
Existing facilities at the Station are dreadful. WC’s are unpleasant and the waiting room far too small for the passenger volumes.
