Two lovely benches from Richard Hildreth
Many thanks indeed to Richard Hildreth and GMPC for donating the two lovely benches which have appeared on the Common – what with the successful track and now the benches, things are looking up in Prestwood.
You may have noticed in the Oct/Nov 2020 edition of The Source for HP16 that the Parish Council is open to suggestions for other improvements to the Common under its Phase 2 plan which is to follow with further consultation. So, if you have any feedback on the existing track or ideas for further improvements in phase 2, or if you would like to comment on the new benches, please email the parish council at clerk@greatmissendenpc.co.uk They would be VERY pleased to hear from you (because not many people do voice their opinions!)
The track has been a real boon to people in lockdown and addition of the lovely benches will enhance this area. Allowing some areas to be a bit “rough around the edges” would enable the natural wildflowers to grow for the benefit of people and wildlife. We now understand how important nature is for our wellbeing. Adding wildflower areas eg near the new benches would enhance this area.
