From Community Impact Bucks:
Community Impact Bucks is working in partnership with Buckinghamshire Council to deliver the Handy Helpers Project which is an Early Intervention Preventative support service providing internal and external maintenance, preventative measures & practical tasks in and around the homes of vulnerable Buckinghamshire residents. Our project is accessible for free for those that meet the Eligibility Criteria detailed below. Tasks will be completed free of charge. However, they may donate to the project if they wish. Clients will be required to supply or pay for their own materials (e.g. fixtures, fittings and furnishings). Demand for our services is high, so we are only able to offer our support on a ‘one-off’ basis.
Eligibility Criteria: – Buckinghamshire resident AND – Aged 65+ OR below 65 and living with a disability AND – Identified as ‘at risk’ of declining independence / mental wellbeing.
