Are you aware we have an active Gardening Society?
The society holds monthly meetings at the Prestwood Village Hall (HP16 0NZ) starting at 8:00pm promptly on the second Thursday in the month. At each meeting we have an experienced and often well known speaker – subjects include gardening topics, natural and local history and travel. Following the lifting of restrictions we resumed our Thursday meetings in September and have had good attendances at the meetings.
Each year we have a harvest supper, a show in September and outings to notable gardens. We also have a 4 day trip to Norfolk organised in May next year where we will be visiting various gardens as well as an afternoon at Sandringham. Members receive a newsletter three times a year and qualify for discounts at some local businesses and garden centres.
At our meeting on Thursday 9 December we will be starting with a short AGM followed by a glass of wine and then we will be having a talk on the work of the Bucks Owl and Raptor Group.
New members are always welcome – the annual subscription is £5. Visitors are also welcome to join our talks for just a small donation of £1.
Please see our website Prestwood gardening society for further information.
