Earlier in the year PVA began to explore support in Prestwood for a fully fledged Village Association.  (Many people are unaware that the PVA constitution defines our purpose as being a communicator rather than an initiator).  We held a meeting of some 20 local activists in March.

An initiative led by Thomas Tyrell led to the creation of a video asking local people “What does Prestwood want?”, a question often asked in the past and indeed some of the answers are not new.  However, this is an opportunity to share these views … and have your say.

As a follow up to the video, a short survey has been commissioned to enable a wider section of the community to express their views. The video can be seen on Facebook and the questionnaire can be found online or paper copies can  be picked up at and returned to Prestwood Post Office or Thomas Tyrell. We have also embedded both in the PVA website.

It is hoped that this will encourage a movement to give the Village the organisation, cohesion and leadership to move forward.  In parallel with the video initiative, PVA are addressing the need for volunteers to come forward to form a working party to explore the best way forward to having a fully fledged Village Association.

Watch the video then have your say.  Perhaps things are on the move!
